Pope Saint John XXIII was born on November 25, 1881 in Sotto
il Monte Giovanni XXIII, Italy. He was born Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli. Angelo
was the oldest of 13 brothers and sisters in his family of sharecroppers.
Angelo received Communion and Confirmation at 8 years old. He was enrolled into
the Secular Franciscan Order on March 1, 1896 and joined the Order on May 23,
1897. He was ordained a priest on August 10, 1904. Giacomo Radini-Tedeschi, the
Bishop of Bergamo, as his secretary in 1905. On December 22, 1944 Roncalli was
chosen as bishop. On November 14, 1952 he got a letter saying he will become

Saint John Pope the 23 was pope for less than five years. Pope John the 23 was very important one important thing he did was pleading to ban nuclear weapons and to stop war he also prays for that. Saint John Pope died in the evening of June 3, 1963 the day before Pentecost. Pope John The 23 died of an old age. Many people loved The Saint John Pope the 23 he was a pope that loved his people and the people loved him back because he is nice. On September 23,1963 Pope John was diagnosed with stomach cancer and later died. Pope John the 23 was beatified on September 3 in 2000 in Saint Peters Square in Vatican City. He was canonized by Pope Francis along with Pope John Paul II on April 27, 2014.
